1.Brief Profile

Prof. Dr. Jihong ZHENG obtained the Ph.D. degree of optical engineering in 2003, and after that she joined the College of Optical and Electrical Engineering of University of Shanghai for Science and Technology (USST). She was promoted to associated professor in 2006 and full professor in 2012. Prof. ZHENG worked as a visiting scholar in Electrical Engineering Department of Pennsylvania State University in United States from 2008.1 to 2009.1 and from 2014.11 to 2015.2.

2. Research Area

Prof.Zheng's research interests include information optics, polymer dispersed liquid crystal (H-PDLC) and its application, liquid crystal based electro-optical devices, fluorescence confocal microscopy, holographic techniques etc. Prof.Zheng is responsible for the NSFC research project and other scientific research projects. In recent years, Prof. Zheng devotes her research in the multi-wavelength sensitive nano siliver doped- PDLC Bragg holographic gratings and its application in the naked-eye 3 dimensional display technology. And also she guide the teams to work in the Holographic storage material, tunable LC lens etc.  

Prof.Zheng received “Rising Star Research Awards” from Shanghai government in 2011. And she also obtained the best-teaching-awards winner in USST. Prof.Zheng has published more than 100 journal and conference papers. Prof.Zheng is SPIE member and OSA member.
