Anjiri Simon Nandwa, an international student majoring in control Science and Engineering of our school, interacted with experts as an outstanding student guest on stage and shared his views on the topic of "Engineering Technology and human sustainable Development in the eyes of young students". He said, "Through interdisciplinary cooperation, the innovation and application of engineering technology can provide solutions to a series of problems such as climate change, resource shortage and environmental damage for sustainable development." I hope I can make a small contribution to environmental protection and food security." Xu Xiaohan, a master's student at the College of Optoelectronics, said in an interview at the event that "engineering technology innovation can improve the efficiency of resource utilization and improve the quality of life, while also ensuring that the application of technology is in line with the long-term interests of mankind." The conference not only enhanced the students' international perspective, but also greatly improved the school's social influence.
Sponsored by Prof. Kai Sang Lock, President of the Washington Protocol, and co-sponsored by Zhejiang University of Technology, China Engineering Education Professional Accreditation Association (CEEAA), and China Association for Science and Technology Training and Talent Service Center, the conference aims to guide young students to better understand the challenges of global sustainable development. To be an agent and innovator of global change. As an important part of the 2023 World Congress on Engineering Education, the Young Students Conference, with the theme of "Youth Power, Creating the future", provides a platform for young students around the world to exchange learning.
