1. Brief Profile

Dr. Shuai YUAN is associate professor of the Shanghai University of Science and Technology of China. He received both his PhD from the Centre d'optique, photonique at laser (COPL) of Laval University. He is a Hope Fellow of Japan Society for the Promotion of Science (JSPS) and Chenguang Scholar of Shanghai. He has published over 30 refereed journal publications, which have been cited over 500 times. He leads one sub-project of National Key Research and Development Project. He is also funded by Youth program and international exchange and Cooperation program of National Natural Science Foundation of China.

2. Research Area

His research interests include femtosecond laser science, filamentation, fiber laser, remote sensing and monitoring. He is now investigating the dynamics of  H2O clusters with his self-made femtosecond fiber laser system.
