1. Brief Introduction
Professor ZHANG Dawei, who was born in 1977. He received his PhD degree from Shanghai Institute of Optics and Fine Mechanics, Chinese Academy of Sciences in 2005. In the same year, he entered University of Shanghai for Science and Technology as a professor at School of Optical-Electrical and Computer Engineering. From 2015 to March of 2020, he held the post of director of Science and Technology Department of University of Shanghai for Science and Technology. From April of 2020 till now, he has been the dean of Science and Technology Development Research Institute of University of Shanghai for Science and Technology.
Professor Zhang Dawei participated the Fourth National High - level Talent Special Support Plan, and he was the leading innovative talent in Sciences and Technologies for Young and Middle-aged Scientists of the Ministry of Science and Technology in 2017, gifted person of Ninth Young Technological Talent of Shanghai, dawn scholar of Shanghai, academic star of science and technology in Shanghai. He was awarded the first prize of Science and Technology Progress of Shanghai in 2019, the first prize of Science and Technology Progress of China Instrument and Control Society in 2017, etc. Professor Zhang served as director of Optical Instrument and System Engineering Technology Research Center under the Ministry of Education, deputy secretary-general and executive director of Chinese Society for Optical Engineering. He joined the optical engineering peak construction team in 2015, entered high-level university in order to build a innovation team about ultra- precision optical manufacturing in 2018, and successfully declared Shanghai Extreme Optical Manufacturing and Testing Engineering Technology Center in 2019.
During the supporting period of discipline construction, Professor Zhang carried out innovative frontier research on micro-nano optical devices, took charge of over six national projects of National Key R&D Program of China. Aiming at all kinds of special micro-nano optical devices which are required by national strategy, he led the team to build a processing, manufacturing and service platform of Shanghai for optical thin film, grating, free-form surface elements, etc. As a director, the Optical Instrument and System Engineering Technology Research Center under the Ministry of Education, where he works, was rated excellent. He also presided over six national level projects such as National Key R&D Program of China, National Science and Technology Support Program and the National Natural Science Foundation of China, etc. and four major projects in Shanghai. Professor Zhang devoted himself to innovative research and achievement transformation of high performance spectral instrument core device and medical optical system, achieved the independent control of core spectroscopic component of optical spectrum instrument. More than 40 authorized patents of invention were formed, and they have generated nearly one billion yuan in economic benefits. He has published more than 100 high-level SCI papers.
